About Divas Uncorked

Since 1999 our intimate group has met monthly helping each other learn about wine; from the nuances of bouquet, and the tradition of vintage, to the fusion of food and wine. At our gatherings we travel ‘via the vine’ – sampling and savoring wines from around the world.

We’ve expanded our gatherings to include special wine centered activities; along the way fostering relationships with vintners, sommeliers, and wine educators. And, we’ve taken our private education public. Since 2001, we’ve been hosting Vintner Dinners and wine events from coast to coast. For five years in a row, we convened in Boston for our Divas’ “Wine, Women, and…” Conference for Women. Our Boston conference featured national food and wine presenters like Andrea Immer Robinson, Leslie Sbrocco, Alpana Singh, Todd English, Joshua Wesson and Mac McDonald of Vision Cellars Wines.

In 2006, we launched our first Martha’s Vineyard Wine + Food Festival and in 2011, we will continue to expand our programs when we host our first Wine Seminar at Sea. Working with AAA Mid-Atlantic and AAA Southern New England, we have planned 7 day Caribbean cruise that will included wine tastings, meals and other events in an effort to bring our ‘wine savvy, not wine snobby’ style of education to an even larger audience.

We’ve hit the road to visit California vineyards in Napa and Sonoma and traveled to South Africa where we opened the prestigious Nederburg Wine Auction.

We’re proud to have created and blended our own private label with the Mendocino Wine Company. Divas Uncorked Chardonnay is now in its fourth vintage release! Mendocino Wine Company is the first carbon neutral winery in the country.

Our wine journey has been chronicled in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, Newsweek Magazine, the London Financial Times, The Boston Globe, on NBC’s The Today Show and in the pages of O, The Oprah Magazine.
